Training on the Cosmos

This is a shot of a freight train lumbering along the Union Pacific railroad in the Columbia River Gorge near Multnomah Falls, Oregon.

 Road work closures forced me to walk the train tracks that parallel the historic Columbia River highway to my destination two miles away.  Not only was I able to avoid being struck by this train, but also managed to catch it and a meteor.  The orange glow on the left is light pollution from Portland.  

Rainy Day Blues

Overcast and rainy this week in Newport, Oregon.  Not much to

photograph.  At least I have some good books and brews.

Cold Steel Fusion

Messing around with cold fusion.  I think I may have solved

the global energy crisis.  Now, to keep the government from

"steeling" my patent.
